Hope’s Crossing is a non-profit organization founded in 2010, that helps at-risk women create a life of self-sufficiency, community, and hope. Our client population are women 18 years and older transition from prison, addictions, or homelessness to a life of work, family, and community.


Hope’s Crossing offers life skills training, employment support, navigating access to affordable housing, and most importantly, a program of emotional support geared toward creating a new belief system that promotes whole and healthy living.

Internship Description

Hope’s Crossing offers Internship Opportunities for Social Work / Psychology Students
Role and Responsibilities include:


• Manage a client caseload, with routine and meaningful client contact.
• Create / maintain a client service plan.
• Provide emotional support and community navigation services.
• Document all clients contact via Electronic Health Record (Best Notes)
• Collaborate with client Health Home for Coordination of Care.
• Data tracking and reporting of client engagement.
• Facilitating Counseling and Counseling Groups.
• Attend / Facilitate program group sessions in supportive role.
• Perform new client intakes into Hope’s Crossing programs.
• Perform Discharge Planning in accordance with Hope’s Crossing Closure policy.
• Community Outreach, researching and connecting with client resources.
• Opportunity to advocate on behalf of clients in various settings.
• Attend twice monthly supervision meetings with BHP/LPC.
• Participate in community agency/ partner meetings.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Demonstrate excellent oral, written, and electronic communication.
Self-Starter with the ability to work independently.
