Graduate Pathway
The graduate pathway for psychology majors is either a professional pathway (psychology in practice/applied psychology, law or medicine) or a research pathway (academic/research in psychology). A master’s degree usually requires 2 to 3 years of course work after the bachelor’s degree and a PhD will take 5 to 7 years beyond the bachelor’s. The selection of a master’s or doctorate degree should be based on interest in either practice or research and on commitment level.
Designing an online class on Blackboard
Whether this is your first on-line class, or you would just like to farm out a lot of the design work, help is available in designing your on-line class on Blackbaord, from beginning to end. Once your class is designed, it can be templated from semester to semester.
Lecture topic introduction slide sets
Lecture topic introduction slides are graphically-designed with full-slide, engaging, and relevant images. Faculty simply submit a list of their lecture topics (or come for instruction) and obtain a full set of lecture introductory slides. These slides serve to welcome students to the classroom and pique their interest regarding the upcoming lecture.
Class promotional flyers
Class promotional flyers are designed to be posted on the Department website, displayed on Department wall monitors, and sent out to undergraduate majors and minors in the Department newsletters.
