Psi Beta:

  • Psi Beta is a national honor society for students attending two-year colleges who have an interest in Psychology. Psi Beta and Psi Chi are sister organizations, but each has its unique membership requirements. Therefore, membership in Psi Beta does not guarantee membership in Psi Chi. Please refer to the criteria above to determine your eligibility for Psi Chi membership.

The Application Process:

  • Check for member eligibility -- do you meet the requirements? Please keep in mind there are different requirements for traditional undergraduate, undergraduate transfer, and graduate students.
  • Complete the webform below to apply if you believe you are eligible. Please fill out as thoroughly and accurately as possible.
  • After submitting, allow for 2 weeks processing. If eligible, we will notify you and move to step 4. If not, we will let you know how you can stay involved with Psi Chi as a non-member.
  • Pay your Membership Dues. These one-time, lifetime dues cost $75 and cover your application fee, allowing you to become an official member.
    • If you are contacted to pay dues for Psi Chi membership after paying Psi Chi at ASU Tempe, please do not pay them -- it is most likely a scam!
    • We also have 3 scholarships available for those students demonstrating financial need.
  • Receive confirmation of completed application within 1 week. Congratulations -- you may now attend any and all Psi Chi at ASU Tempe Events!
  • Attend the Fall 2019 Induction Ceremony on December 4th to be honored as a New Member!
