Participate in a Department of Psychology internship
If you want to test your psychology skills in real-life situations while exploring viable career options, we encourage you to sign up for a psychology internship. Whether you’re interested in wellness, resilience, motivation, social support, emotions or organizational culture, the Department of Psychology at Arizona State University’s Tempe campus has an internship opportunity for you. You’ll be able to test drive your future career and determine what fields are a perfect fit for your unique goals and interests.

Psychology internship eligibility and requirements:
- be pursuing a BA or BS in the Department of Psychology (Tempe campus)
- have completed at least 45 credit hours at time of application
- have junior standing (at least 56 credit hours) at time of internship
- have a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA
- completed a minimum of two PSY Breadth courses
PSY 484 internship credit requirements:
- all internships must be approved by the internship coordinator
- an internship must provide opportunities that are related to the application of psychological principles
- an internship must be supervised by a full-time employee at the site who is qualified to mentor interns
- the internship dates must coincide with the semester calendar
- internships cannot be paid
- internships may partially fulfill the "Additional Psychology Course Requirements"
- an internship course is pass/fail and requires at least 135 hours of student work
- must have reliable transportation

If you are an international student, your application for PSY 484 will be found here. Be sure to communicate with your ISSC advisor regarding this course and its requirements.
If you are a pre-health student, check in with your pre-health advisor regarding their available internships first.
For Neuroscience students, a site is currently in progress. If you have questions regarding NEU 484 internship options, please complete an application and submit it to [email protected], and our internship coordinator will reach out.
